Job Summary

Here at Mpower Trading Systems we are seeking a talented Web Developer to join our development team. Ideal candidate should have experience working with small agile teams and the ability to go from conception and planning, to development and delivery, to testing. This position will interact closely with project management and software engineers to shape project requirements and guide projects through completion.
Desired skills and experience

• Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML (4/5), CSS (2/3), JavaScript, jQuery, XML, CURL

• Database experience such as MySQL

• Experience with eCommerce and Drupal

• Comfortable working with frameworks and API’s

• Strong communication and organizational/planning skills

• Comfortable in highly regulated financial services environment

• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

• You will be asked to provide examples of recent Web Development work

Web Developer Key responsibilities

Ongoing deliverables include, but are not limited to, front-end programming, functional custom JavaScript, PHP, JSP, and UI jQuery libraries.

Demonstrate integration of multi-language technology (HTML4/5, CSS2/3, JavaScript/jQuery, frameworks, AJAX, API’s, etc.) across multiple projects.

Demonstrate interactive development solutions executing information design hierarchy and interaction flows supporting strategic vision of business objectives.

Implementing documented detailed visual specifications for all UI design and presentation layer elements utilizing existing site CSS and style guidelines or web standards.

Coordinate with the business unit and the development team in regard to web development and release schedules. Provide written details to development team regarding new API requirements. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
