Hey,

Suddenly the Metatag advanced setting has disappeared from the node creation form in the admin section. Also the metatags are not being generated in the front end node detail pages.

Screenshot is attached for reference.

Please help.

Check your settings here /admin/config/search/metatags if node is still enabled.

Changing this to a support request until we determine it's a real bug vs a configuration problem.

@saurabh: Could you please double check that the module is still enabled? Are you using Drupal 7.15 or newer? Are CTools and Token still installed? It really sounds like the Metatag module has been disabled somehow.

This is because the metatag config form is checking if the entity already has some metatag defined. For the node to have defined metatag from the very beginning you have to set defaults for the bundle in /admin/config/search/metatags/settings. This is weird and I had some headache finding it.

This functionality just switched on by itself when a new content type was added on one of my sites. Once I found this post and went to the settings page, only the new content type was selected, explaining with the vertical tab disappeared from my other content types.

With v1.5 you have full control over what entity types & bundles (i.e. content types, vocabularies, etc) can have the "meta tags" fields on their edit pages, you everything is now under the site builder's control. Please feel free to open a new issue if something is not working correctly with this. Thank you :)
