The redirect set in: Administration » Panopoly » Panopoly Settings » Panopoly Users

works when using the log-in form on the OA bread crumb menu top right. It does not work when logging-in through the OA "User login" panel in the middle of the home page.

Panopoly provides this functionality

User login form has an #action set with destination to current page (as intended by core to login to current page), if panopoly wants to change that, they likely can
