I'm wondering how I can control witch image is used as the image preview when sharing a page on facebook.

I'm using the og:image but this isn't taken into account, how come.

Facebook caches the image so you may not not see it correctly. Use the Facebook Debugger to refresh the way Facebook is seeing your page after modifying the og:image meta tag. You can use the Metatag module to correctly set the attribute.

Comment #1 is correct. This is a metatag issue. If you want to chose what Facebook pulls from your page and how it is used, download and configure Metatag.
