Participant name not displayed in inbox tab

Write a new message and send to yourself. Then the username is not displayed in participant column in the inbox tab.
Steps to re produce

1. Login as user (eg: admin)
2. Goto URL: messages/new
3. Type username(admin) in "To" field
4. Write some message and send
5. Goto Inbox tab(URL: messages) and verify the participant column
