Hiya guys :),

My name is Patrick Tipping and I am a member of the Launchr community. When I say member, I actually mean trained monkey, who tries to get into contact with people :).

Anyway, I would like to introduce you to Launchr with the hope of raising your interest in participating in our community program.

In short, Launchr was created to offer an easy way of testing, demonstrating and evaluating open source web applications.

This can be especially interesting for community projects like yours, since it offers existing and new users the opportunity to easily access an individual demo installation without any kind of technical know how, hosting, installation or setup required. Launchr can remove any kind of entry barrier for new users and we are hoping that this will aid you in growing your own community.

By setting up an individual installation in less than a minute, users will be able to try out new releases or use a sandbox installation to test new features, extensions or configurations without any hassle.

Since we firmly believe in the concept of open source software and feel strongly about encouraging such communities, we have created a community program allowing you to use Launchr for free and get you started with a initial setup of drupal.

You are now obviously bursting with anticipation and excitement thanks to my amazing marketing-genius email :). So, if you'd like to learn more about the community program and/or join or have any other questions regarding our services, please feel free to contact me via email (tipping@launchr.com) or Skype (p.tipping).

Cheers and have a nice day,

Patrick Tipping

That's quite a bit of text in a marketing pitch without taking the time to differentiate your service from your competitors such as OpenSourceCMS which has been around for quite some time.

Hiya mate :),

sorry about that, I'll give it another go:

as said above, every user who launches a product such as yours, will be using a unique installation, if you want to call it that. Basically meaning, that every user will be able to "mess around" and change as much as he or she wants, without influencing either the source code or the launch of any other user. Every single installation will be unique and private. As mentioned, this can be very useful if you are looking for a sandbox version to try out new features.
Additionally, every user will be able to create new solutions by adding content or features, test them and make them available for everybody else.

Since you don't really seem to convinced by what I'm writing, would somebody from Drupal be willing to give me some way of contacting them more directly, so I could pass this on to our lead developer and founder of Launchr? As mentioned, I am not exactly a fountain of knowledge when it comes to features, whereas Bernard is basically the mind behind it all and would be able to talk to you more directly about what we might be able to offer you.

Once again, if you have any more questions or would like to get into contact with me, please just email or skype me :).

Cheers and have a nice day,

Patrick

somebody from Drupal

there is no such thing. drupal is the community.

be able to talk to you more directly about what we might be able to offer you.

There is no 'you' to which you can make offers. And drupal.org does not typically promote commercial products or services other than allow for paid adverts.

We already have http://simplytest.me which was created by community members for the community without using it as an opportunity to upsell something else. That, combined with your complete lack of understanding of the most fundamental aspects of the drupal community, leads me to think you're not going to get far with the service here.
