On a CentOS server with CPanel installed, using the Media module through Image field or CKEditor, Drupal is not able to upload images to sites/default/files or any of the sites/default/files/styles/*/public directories. I have tried uploading after changing the directories permissions to 777, 775, 755, numerous times now with no success or change.

The only success I did have was when I deleted sites/default/files and then recreated the appropriate directories. I was then able to upload and embed one image using Media through CKEditor. I thought I had fixed the problem. However, just a few minutes later, I was back to not being able to upload the images to sites/default/files or any of the sites/default/files/styles directories. This is the case for both CKEditor uploads and Image fields.

All I'm getting is a broken images wherever the new image that I try to upload is supposed to be no matter the style or location. Broken images appear no matter the style or location, on the node, CKEditor, media select thumbnail, media library thumbnail, etc.

The log does not show any error messages or issues. Any help or ideas as to why I'm not able to upload images into Drupals file system using Media would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Issue summary: View changes

CORRECTION. It appears to be an issue with creating the necessary image styles in the appropriate sites/default/files/*/public directories. It is actually uploading the original to sites/default/files correctly.

Not a known problem. To me does this sound this like a file permission related problem in your installation and is not anything related to media and/or file_entity. Check your Apache/PHP error logs for further clues. Pls. re-open if you disagree ;)
