Notice a "special discounts" pane on my checkout page. I'm aware I can turn this off, via checkout panes, but I'm curious as to what the functionality of this might be? I can't seem to find any documentation on it. No big deal, just curious as to what it is for, and what I could possibly do with it. perhaps I missed it in the docs, but i couldn't seem to find anything. module is great, by the way, very versatile.

As far as I know, 'Special discounts' is for *automatic* coupons (ones that you have configured through Drupal Rules to apply automatically when certain order conditions are met). I use automatic coupons as a % price reduction based on minimum volume order. The price reduction items come up in the 'Special discounts' pane. If you're not using that feature, I suppose you could switch the display option off.
