Call to a member function get_translations() on a non-object in i18n_menu.admin.inc [#2202095]

I'm getting the following error when I want to translate a menu item in a 'Translate and Localize' menu:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get_translations() on a non-object in ../sites/all/modules/i18n/i18n_menu/i18n_menu.admin.inc on line 218

Any idea what is wrong?

I'm getting the same error message as above. I was getting WSOD when I clicked the Translate tab on the menu edit page when using 7.x-1.10 and entiry_translation 7.x-1.0-beta3, however, ever since upgrading to 7.x-1.11 and 7.x-1.x-dev I'm now getting the above error message. I've also tried updating entiry_translation to latest dev - but I get the same results. So basically we are unable to translate some menu items. Any help would be really appreciated...
