I have understood the point you said about plural formula. I will get back with plural formula of our language Rohingya as soon as possible.

Actually I have downloaded other .po file and edited manually some words then install on local computer to see the result just for testing purpose and I think this is wrong way to translate. People are talking about API also and I think this is the proper way to translate Drupal with APIs. Anyway, rectify me if I am wrong.

I am not new to Drupal. I am member of Drupal for 4 years 6 months with the user name @legend. I had a domain haroonyousuf.net and it was a completely Drupal site and with Rohingya contents but the basic user interface was English. At the beginning the intention for creating of the domain was personal use. After that I have decided to work on our language as recently started a genocide of our Rohingya people in Arakan State - Burma. Rohingya people need more rapid web development tool and more websites in order to express their plight globally. I have attended several meetings of our language, they always ask Rohingya user interface and mention to me that Rohingya language is not seen in any global software installation list yet. If Drupal agreed to add Rohingya then it will be first electronic place for Rohingya language.

Later on I have transformed my site for our people. There was many tabs as News, Jobs, Forum and English-Rohingya dictionary. Due to late renewal of my hosting account, I have lost my whole site as well as I was unable to access Drupal account @legend as I had forgotten my password and this account is assigned to my email address info@haroonyousuf.net. So, there was no way to recover the account. So, I have decided to create new one with my name and created the issue with my new account.

As far as other followers to this issue is concern, I know they are new to Drupal and they all are non technical persons. I will do my best to assist them in translation work to l.d.o. They will contribute translation and this will be a complete cooperated work for our community.

Furthermore, I have concerned with l.d.o first time and I don't know how to do it that's why I have assigned the issue myself. I have read the term "Assigned" at

Yes all followers will be new to Drupal because they have never used web technologies before. But Rohingya is not a newly born language. This language is being spoken for 800 years in Arakan State - Burma and recently recognized by ISO639 on 18-07-2007 with the code set 639-3 rhg as everybody knows that Burma (Myanmar) recently in democratic transition after a long period of military dictatorship.

Due to lack of local web user interface, most Rohingya people are using English or Arabic websites. Following are some famous Rohingya websites but user interfaces are either English or Arabic.

Our community always use to ask me about website building softwares with Rohingya user interface to make websites rapidly. Due to lack of this we don't have so many websites in our language that's why we have decided to work with some CMS. I have researched on many content management systems e.g. Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, Concrete etc.

We have decided to work on Drupal as it is free and supports best programming language and databases. That is why I have created this issue on l.d.o. If Drupal add our language to l.d.o list then all Rohingya websites will switch to Drupal and more people will involve in Drupal sites as they will get their native language option in Drupal.

Please tell me what kind of level of trust you people are asking? We will provide you.

I was waiting for your reply. My domain is ready for fresh D7 deployment. I was thinking that it is not possible to translate without having Rohingya language name in the list of l.d.o. because till now we didn't get the language approval from l.d.o.

As you said that "Why not built up a running website showing up Rohingya translations?" Ok, I'm going to finish Drupal 7.26 installation on my domain and I will use localization client as mentioned on comment#23 by JohnNoc and please ignore the comments from new comers as they don't know about Drupal. They are just taking interest in Drupal as Drupal will give opportunity to use websites in our language. They all will visit to my site and will complete the translation collaboratively. Once our translation completed then more Rohingya Drupal sites will be online. Till now no Rohingya knows that what is Drupal capable of.

I have one question. How localization client module will understand that submitted translations are Rohingya translations?

Can you explain me one thing?
Following instruction I have found in readme.txt file of localization client that
"Join a language team on localize.drupal.org (required to be able to submit translation updates)"
while I don't have any thing at l.d.o except an new language request issue.

Can you tell me where have to join now in order to submit my translation?

We have translated many strings on our site but it is saving locally.
Now I want to submit the partially translated words just to check out how it will work. For this, I have read more about submission of translation at the section:
Configuration>Translate Interface>Client
There is a check box "Enable sharing translations with server" and server address is "http://localize.drupal.org" while Drupal is asking an API-key in the user account settings for each user which means that just enabling sharing translations with server is not enough.

I have tried to many times to find out Drupal API-key in order to enable our site users to submit translation direct to l.d.o. For now we are doing this through manual .po file export & import.
Please we need your help regarding this. Your response regarding this will be highly appreciated.

Everything was going fine till now but today when we have updated our translation
then our website is showing Norwegian words. I dont know why?
Can you help me regarding this?
Can we go some day back status of translation? Because it was fine on 1-3-2014.

Below is the location of translation files of all available languages.

Is there any other location of backup of .po files? If yes then tell us the location so we can recover our .po file.
If no then tell us the procedure to reset the translation so we can start from the beginning.
