I find I'm unable to use Rules anymore because I can't find any documentation on how to use data selectors. The handbook page here is of no help https://drupal.org/node/1300042.
As an example, when trying to create a rule that notifies me by email when an anonymous user posts a comment, where would I be able to find what data selector to use? Or even why I would need to use a data selector might be nice to know.
I'm completely lost using this module now and I'm not the only one. I used rules a lot in D6 and I can't really go without it for my D7 sites.

Maybe it's technically better, but with no brief explanation, no one can use it.

TR CreditAttribution: TR commentedSince this post, there has been a tremendous amount of documentation written - on drupal.org as well is in blogs, video instruction, Drupalcon talks, etc.
The documentation here on drupal.org can be edited by anyone - you can add what you've learned. This issue queue also explains a lot of things time and time again, so this is a great place to search. There's also Slack and stackexchange, if you need more general help.
If you have something SPECIFIC you would like to have documented, then open an issue for that thing. But an issue like this which just calling for more, unspecified documentation isn't very helpful. Documentation is being written all the time.
