I really like BG, and I really like the flikr module. I would like to be able to use the BG filters to present a flickr folder (ie. [bg|http://flickr.com/path/]).

Any thoughts on when the flickr integration will be available? That said, the picasa one works great! just have so much on flickr...

This is a very logical step forward. The only thing we need is a public RSS with images produced by Flickr (is there one, can someone elaborate on this - I am not a Flickr user), as there is in Picasa.

From then on, a different parser has to be written for BG; that is the only work involved.

I am currently too tied up in other (living-earning) projects, but if you write a quality patch and let me know by mail I will test and apply it very quickly (as the existing ones). If you are not a coder and need this urgently and/of commercially, contact me for sponsoring this development and I'll see what's possible to arrange.

The short answer is that Flickr does provide a public RSS for photosets (and perhaps other things as well), although it appears rather different from Picasa's.

At this point, are you still considering integrating Flickr support with this module? Are you looking for other developers to help make that happen?

I'm currently exploring the possibility of using the Flickr module with Lightbox2 for a site I'm developing although I am curious about your module. Depending on how much work it would require tweaking/abstracting/etc the XML parser for Brilliant Gallery, I may be interested in helping make this happen.
