If remote server has Drush 6.1 installed of 5.10 the verify task is failing with error message:
The specified server is not an Aegir master server.

This is due to Drush 6 has renamed the bootstrap field name for Drush status return.

Fixed in 7.x-3.x, though this essentially means that the remote server must be running Drush 6.x. Let's follow-up on cross version compatibility in #2083699: Support Aegir 1.x, 2.x and 3.x source servers.
