Feeds vector geodata parser

There is a GDAL module that provides a geodata parser for use in the Feeds module>

The parser allow the import of zipped shapefiles (it support also projections other than 4326) and works well in conjuntion with the module PostGIS.
I tried to use it with Geofield (PostGIS backend) but it doesn't seem to work, geometry it is just left empty.
