Current setup of Metatags is:

Global
--Global: Front Page
--Content
----Content:Article

My Content:Article nodes are using the meta descriptions set in Global:Front Page, not the field_teaser that is set in the description for the Content:Article.

I had found this thread which sounds similar - https://drupal.org/node/1643862 - and thought that updating to dev would correct it but no such luck.
