I'm looking for an open source solution to setting up a classified ads website for a friend. I have seen the Classified Ads module https://drupal.org/project/ed_classified which looks OK and also the https://drupal.org/project/classified_advertising project. Can anyone recommend a solution that would allow visitors to post their adverts after paying using PayPal or credit card please? Are there any live sites using Drupal that I can see as examples for a working paid classified ads website?

What would be the best way to implement this using Drupal?

I have been working on something similar. It is possible and here is a quick tutorial on how to setup something very basic.

I would never use money script modules because their customer support is very bad.
But drupal commerce does offer the same type of features.

For example this module does something similar
