It would be great if it is possible to create different kind of events and show them at the same time, in the same calendar but with different color backgrounds.
For example:
Birthdays in red
Exams in blue
Dates in green
When creating the event, you click on the event type (or select in a combo box) and when looking the calendar all events are shown at the same time but you are able to see them all with different colors.
On the same time it would also be great if the user could select "only birthdays" or "only exams"... and see only the kind of events that has just selected.

If you want to do this with taxonomy instead -- one content type but different taxonomy categories -- that would require a change to the way the legend works so you can set the colors with taxonomy instead of content type, which is already a feature request.
