Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 upgrade with Zen

Hello. Really appreciate the Zen theme you guys have provided for Drupal as well as the documentation. It's awesome and really helped me get into responsive and Sass.

I am just wondering, in the future with the release of Drupal 8, would it be possible to easily upgrade from Drupal 7 with Zen 7.x-3.2 or Zen 7.x-5.4 to Drupal 8 with Zen without re-writing all of the theme code? For example, will there be some sort of upgrade path, or instructions. Or does the Drupal 8 Zen theme require a whole new set of theme code, and re-writing all of the customized sass/css.

Re-writing theme code customization was a major pain when upgrading a lot of websites from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7.

A lot of the websites we are currently developing are using Zen 7.x-5.4 compiled with compass/sass. Some older ones are using Zen 7.x-3.2 with XHTML.
