When using with taxonomy menu, which is updated every time a taxonomy term is updated - taxonomy menu removes all menu attributes.

Ran into this myself. The issue is with Taxonomy Menu and not this module; I'm leaving the issue in this queue for others' reference.

I've put up a patch against taxonomy menu that should solve the issue. See #2164057: Menu Attributes are lost when saving/rearranging a taxonomy menu vocab/term
