The page title when adding a node does not translate the content type name.
"Create Article" and in Dutch: "Article aanmaken" (where this should be "Artikel aanmaken".
This issue orginially reported that the page title for adding a node uses the system name (in this example 'article'), but that has been fixed in a separate issue.

ianthomas_uk#2 only fixes half the problem, because another issue has fixed the other half. I've updated the issue summary to reflect that.
However, t() cannot be used in this instance. It is for translating a fixed set of strings, so it is possible to ship all translations with the module. Content types are added and edited by site builders, so this needs to get the translation from the content type itself.

quietone CreditAttribution: quietone as a volunteer commentedI tested this on 8.9x. and 9.2.x and was not able to reproduce the problem. In both versions I used a standard install with locale and language installed and the language Italian. Navigating to it/node/add/article the title of the page is 'Crea Articolo' and and for basic page the title was 'Crea Pagina base'.
In the previous comment marthinal also said they could not reproduce the problem.
Therefore, closing as cannot reproduce. If you are experiencing this problem reopen the issue, by setting the status to 'Active', and provide complete steps to reproduce the issue (starting from "Install Drupal core").
Thanks!
