So it would be pretty sweet if it was possible to add a #uri property onto each data item, and then for each data point and/or legend item to become a clickable link to that uri.

I attach a patch which definitely seems to work well for Highcharts (which is what I am primarily using here). It also contains a first effort for Google charts, but that doesn't quite do the trick. For Google, I can't quite find the right way of pulling the uri out of the data for the selected data point on select.

Hi @jerenus, this is pretty neat but I'm not sure if it's something we should make part of the main module. This requires a lot of manual wiring up from the patches you've submitted. If it's possible to make this implemented as an add-on (I think it should be already, but I'm not sure), that's probably what I'd prefer.

I'd like to get this issue moving again somehow. I basically have these questions about it:

  1. Should this be possible to get it to work for Google Charts also? If so: how (what options to use, etc)?
  2. What is that 'manual wiring up' in #3 (can anybody translate that to 'regular' English please? ... I'm not native English speaking, can you tell?). How to understand that "add-on", like a separate submodule (I doubt), or something else?
  3. Who or what is 'Bot' (as in #2)? FYI: in Dutch it's the opposite of 'sharp' ...
