Close colorbox on window resize

I have different colorbox calls depending on window size, and when the size is changed the content of the currently exposed colorbox can disappear leaving a blank window. Is there a way to automatically close the currently exposed colorbox on window resize and can this be applied to some colorbox elements and not others?
