Hi everybody,

I have never used Drupal (but I have a great experience with Joomla) & I intend to create a website with funny bets on the campus life of my school, on sports events involving its teams and a lot of other related bets. The money would be totally virtual and a system would grant the best betters some awards each week/month.
So far, I have found two modules that might be useful:
Betting system (a bit old) and Pickem (seems to be updated regularly).

What's newest and best in that field?

as far as I understood, Drupal gives a lot of freedom and it is a good idea to combine different modules in order to obtain what we really want right?
