I am able to set the action of the Rule just fine, but as soon as I go to add the condtion in step two of the rule, the process fails and I get the "The Connection was reset" error.

I am not able to see any entries in the apache error log, nor does there appear to be any errors in the PHP error log.

Also, if I try to edit the rule from the Rules menu link, I get the same error mode.

Any others experiencing a similar issue?

I rolled my Rules Module back to version 7.x-2.3 and the issue went away. Must be an internal issue for the Rules module.

I am getting the very same error on all of my Drupal installations.

Reverting back to 7.x-2.3 also fixed it after trying everything else.

there is an issue with 7.x-2.6, hence reverting back to 7.x-2.3 fixed the issue.
