I rely on consistent entity exports and Git to aid a change control process. Sorting entity values by name facilitates consistent diffing across environments.

The 5 year old patch in #5 to entity.features.inc and entity.module applied cleanly to the latest entity 7.x-1.x-dev and works well for me.
