Hi.

It would be VERY nice to have "classic view" tab so that we can also see classic drupal style module view - the list of modules as it looks like without module filter installed.

Sometimes it is handy to have for some purpose modules sorted "original" way.

I suppose it would be easy to add such tab.

I'm not convinced of the benefit. The tabs are listed in the same order as the fieldsets in the vanilla modules listing and the modules are listed alphabetically within those fieldsets. If you'd like to view modules within a specific package (which is the only benefit I can see of the vanilla modules page's fieldsets) you can select it's corresponding tab.

This isn't a flat out no, I just need more convincing. Otherwise you can disable the tabs from Module Filter's admin page at /admin/config/user-interface/modulefilter.

Thank you for reply.

I tried and I like "disable tabs" option.

Here is why. For example, location module has almost all it's sub-modules into Location fieldgroup, but it also puts some sub-modules into CCK fieldset and into development fieldset.

If I search for "location" in "All" tab all location's sub-modules are listed in alphabetical order but their fieldsets are not visible.

And if I search for "location" with "Disable tabs" checked location sub-modules fieldsets are cleary visible which is cool.

Since disable tabs option already exists in Module Filter's admin page making it more available by putting it as one more view on main page could be handy.

The "Disable tabs" feature is basically just core Drupal with only the addition of the filter textfield and checkboxes so it's a little more complicated than that.

There is a setting, "Hide tabs with no results", that does just what it's called. So when searching for "location", tabs that do not contain any results will become hidden. You can then navigate between those tabs. Also, note when you hover a table row that the tab it is in becomes highlighted. Obviously this only works when on one of the first three tabs (All, Recent, and New).

However, I'm going to mark this issue's status as postponed as I have contemplated providing the ability in the first three tabs to toggle between listing everything alphabetically or listing them in their groups. If there is continuing interest in this and what's described above isn't sufficient then I'll pursue adding this toggle.

Issue summary: View changes

2.0 version is nice.

Changing status of this issue to "Closed (won't fix)" is ok as far as I am concerned.

With D10 now out going to putting all the focus on the 4.x version of this module supporting D9 + D10.

Will keep an on the 7.x-2.x branch for reviews but no active work will probably happen
