If I update the base theme from beta 4 to the final release, will I need to do some changes to my subtheme?

We dropped the automatically generated sidebar classes from Core. #2096669: body classes for .no-sidebars, .one-sidebar & .two-sidebars now gone

Other than that, no... There is nothing you have to worry about. Make sure you clear your caches and fix those sidebar classes if you relied on them (re-add them in your own hook_preprocess_html()).
