looks like it was on hold 2 years ago, then the issue resurfaced for a user this year - but has that patch been committed to the most recent beta or dev release?

Hi,

I don't know if you're referring to display profile2 field inside a view when you have field permission installed.

If this is the case, I can tell you that I just uncheck the make this field private and check Private (only author and administrators can edit and view) inside the field permission area of the field.

It seems to me that these permission were overlapping each other.

It seems to work for me so far.

Issue summary: View changes

It doesn't work for me. User, who don't have right to view the field can view empty exposed filter. So at least it's not a security issue.

Yes. It was applied before the beta2 release, so it should be in both that and the -dev branch.
