after upgrading to media alpha-2 experiencing issues with the media browser. using wysiwyg (7.x-2.2 with tinymce (3.4.2 but also upgraded to 3.5.8 no diff));

select media browser to upload an image (or selecting image from view library); after selecting the image the embedding modal dialog will not close when clicking select. and for each select click a copy of the image is loaded into the editor window. so the work around is to click select then cancel - but that isn't a viable solution for our end users. this happens on our sandboxes and well as our acquia dev, stg, and production platforms.

cleared cache countless times to no avail. this is a critical issue for us and our users. unable to revert because of database changes in alpha-2.

not sure what else to do ...

thanks

Do you see any error when using firebug (or another browser dev tool)?

I have a similar problem described here: https://drupal.org/node/2108877
Maybe it's the same issue? I'm not sure.

this occurred multiple browsers - there were many issues including unable to delete an image, etc. seems like these are all issues being reported worked on. our solution was to revert the js/wysiwyg-media.js and wysiwyg_plugins\media.inc to alpha1 versions and all our problems were resolved. hope this helps...
