ANCOR’s new website positioned the organization as an authoritative, highly influential, respected and effective advocate for – and source of knowledge on -- issues affecting the disability community. ANCOR has nearly one-half million members, but only a few thousand of these participate actively in the website. ANCOR's new web presence helped to reach deeper within an organization to build online membership and participation. More than serving as merely an information publishing platform, the site encouraged and enabled dialog. It connected members and visitors to ANCOR by creating a spirit of community and relationship. Content, site architecture and design worked together to build a highly-engaged idea sharing network of members through the ANCOR Connected Communities platform and other ANCOR web properties, including ANCOR’s Connected Communities, ANCOR’s National Advocacy Campaign (www.youneedtoknowme.org), ANCOR Services Corporation’s Shared Resources Purchasing Network (SRPN), and the ANCOR Foundation.

American Network of Community Options and Resources was a 2013 Blue Drop Awards finalist for Best Association Website Built With Drupal.
