Cloning a View utilizing IP GV&M does not clone the (possibly extensive) table of Location Differentiators and Associated Markers.

RdeBoerAcknowledged.
Going on holidays first. Then we'll see.

Just marking this as a bug and not a feature request.
Exporting or cloning a view will break the location differentiator and accosted markers.
RdeBoerYeah, it's because these are stored outside the normal Views config, via
variable_set()
If I remember correctly, that in turn was done because the complexity of the location differentiator data and dynamic UI structure is not easily captured in standard Views config.
If you were to use the Strongarm module (plus Features), then you should be able to export location differentiator and markers (separate from the View).

The location diferentiator is awesome, and with features as an option this should be set as fixed.
Just a few experience I had.
While playing with this module and switching between taxonomy's my views location diferentiator "taxonomy reference got broken" this does not break the view, but breaks all other views by not calling the views handler. Clearing the cache fix all views.
If you look here I have 170 terms, all with a font icon.
I noticed that if a child term is not signed a marker or icon, it will not inherit the parent term marker settings.

RdeBoerHi Paul,
Re #4: not sure I fully get what you're saying... you need to spell it out for me a bit more....
But how good do your markers and font-icons look!
Rik
PS: did you get my private email regarding the improved clustering algorithm I devised? -- It's ready for you to try... just need an email address or ftp to send it too, it's not ready for the greater public yet...

I feel like an idiot. My drupal email was greated 7 years ago and I never updated it.
I have updated it now to my current email. If you want to email me just add my name and a at-sign before my website wikivillage.co.za.
Another thing, where do I see my private messages. I scanned the whole profile page but cant find it. Or does it only come thru as an email.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to play with the new clustering system.
If you want ftp access let me know in the email.
Paul

RdeBoer@vlooivlerke,
Private messages only come through email -- if you've got it haha!
So I sent you an email to your first name at youknowhat.
Let me know by return email if it worked.
Cheers!
Rik
