Using 2 or more e-mailaddresses pops up this error message. The mail however, is delivered. It's an old bug reported in the 6.x-branch, i report this new one because this is the 7.x-branch.

It appeared after activating the SMTP-module. No other mail-related modules are installed on the site.

This patch (last comment) in https://drupal.org/node/316076 returned the error
Deprecated function: Function split() is deprecated in valid_email_address() (line 1192 off foo/bar/includes/common.inc).

The mail is still delivered.

Do you have values set for the 'smtp_from' variable, i.e. the 'E-mail from address' item on the settings page?

Dropping this to "normal" as it was reported that the email is delivered.
