Hi,

Some of us (most) will create a custom layout with a new subtheme, why not adding this step while generating a new subtheme ? 

Do you want to make a custom layout with your new sub-theme ?

Please enter a machine-readable name for your new custom layout :

Or better, a new drush command to generate a custom layout for any already created theme.

Even better, both :).

Agreed, that would be cool. I think I even saw an issue for that before. Not sure if it should be part of the subtheme creation process, but a Drush command would certainly help.

I am not sure if I can do this before DrupalCon (which is where we are going to ship the release). I do not consider this a release-blocking feature request. However, if you have time and are able to write a patch for this please do. I like the idea... Otherwise, either I find the time or it has to wait for 4.1 :)

Yep, +1 on this from me. We should definitely get this in for 4.1. We should definitely put it in its own command and then possibly add it as a step in owiz too.
