Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
A couple of things about your new translation:
- This translation should be in /contributions/translations and not /contributions/modules
- We normally use iso639 2 letter language codes for Drupal, ie for Kurdish it is ku, not kur (The language code currently used in Drupal core is for Kurdish is ku (listed in includes/locale.inc))
Anyway, it's a great start and thank you for contributing to the Drupal project.

We get problems about Kurdish code in all projects. There are 5 different Kurdish dialects as Kurmanci, Sorani, Zazaki, Hewremani and Lori. Only members of 2 dialects are active on comouter and would translate softwares: Kurmanci and Sorani. Firstly when only we (Kurmanci) were translating softwares there wasn't any problem. But it is going to be problem. Because Also Soran users started to translate softwares.
As Norwegians use two different codes for Bokmål and Nynorsk, we would use different codes.
I think it will bebetter if we (Kurmanc) use ku_KU and Sorans use so_KU
