It's probably too soon to talk about user interface enhancements, but something that would be nice to keep users coming back to the website to look for updates to their posts would be a user badge notification. Something that shows in the menubar how many replies their posts have received since they last clicked it. Facebook has functionality that works similar to this. Currently that can be seen in the Topics section of their dashboard, but it doesn't stand out very well.
