I have a required list where updates and additions should happen immediately and not on cron. But I have noticed that after a message from the module gives me a success message, the user is not immediately available in MailChimp itself. There is about on average a 5 min or more delay or more. Mailchimp told me to ask about it hear.

And just for full disclosure, I have also noticed incorrect search results of my list in MailChimp, a problem they have told me they have corrected, and it is working except for 1 particular search ("testing" and "test" provide all the results, but "testi" does not). I thought maybe their database issues may have been related to this, but after they fixed it, I'm still seeing this delay issue.

Is this delay expected behavior or is something not working as it should?

Thanks for any help in advance!
Steve

I think there is some kind of cacheing in MailChimp. It seems if I look directly at the full list, sorted by "Last Changed" starting with newest first, the new or changed records appear virtually immediately. However, they do not in the MailChimp search results or the number reporting how many are in the list. These will change after few minutes. I think the cacheing on their system is also responsible for the strange search results I see there.

Although I can't find any documentation about it at the MailChimp site, lots of people have experienced a delay in updating users and their subscriptions. Just be sure you are clicking on or activating the "Update Mailchimp Mergevar Values" process, which is the link at the List tab of the MailChimp module.
