Image thumbnails no longer links to node with enlarged image

After creating several galleries with hundreds of images I now realize that when I open a gallery and click on an image thumbnail, it no longer takes me to a new page/node with an enlarged version of the image. (Basically when I click on an image thumbnail nothing happens). On the other hand if I click on the title of the image thumbnail it works without issues.

I tried the below solutions without any luck:

1) Disabled/Re-Enabled the module
2) Clear cache
3) Did a clean installation of the module

Any help is appreciated
