I may not have set up permissions correctly. The only permission that the user has is "take test".

I have put feedback for both correct and incorrect answers. When I set the feedback to directly after the question, it appears correctly as well as showing the answers. When the feedback is set for the end of the test, I get the score but not the feedback (correct or incorrect).

I only want the feedback to show, not the correct answers (if possible) so I unticked "Display solution".

You need to give "View any/own quiz results" permission. After each feedback if you see feedback irrespective of permssion it is a bug.

Changing to "Support request" in further to your own statement.
