Does not show on <front>

I have the same issue. Unless you set the block to show all enabled languages, on front the only selection available is the default language. If it is set to show all languages users can select a different language and it does work, but on reload defaults back to the default language even when the site is obviously in a different one.

This module has the same behaviour than the core language switcher block provided by locale module. Read locale documentation to be sure you are not doing something wrong.

Which language negotiation method are you using?

Locale configuration is a lot more complex than it seems at first glance and without providing enough information is imposible to know which is the issue.

To be sure this is a language switcher dropdown module issue it would be a good idea to enable the language switcher block provided by locale module and check if both blocks work the same or not.

Sorry, my issue was not with the block displaying but rather with languages not showing up in the select. I believe this was a setup issue now. Apologies.
