When uploading a new file to the server in IMCE the page flashes, and I get the alert " the image has been renamed to ." with no image file name. The image file does not show up in the list. On a refresh of IMCE the image shows correctly. This makes it very difficult to upload an image and then select it and insert it into an article.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there an easy fix?

If your files have non-ascii chars try using the transliteration module.

Title: uploaded image not listed / "the image has been renamed to . " » Update file list after transliteration
Version: 7.x-1.7 » 7.x-1.x-dev
Component: Code » User interface
Category: Support request » Bug report
Issue summary: View changes

I guess @acb already uses translit, because I experience the same issue. Steps:

  1. Open IMCE window
  2. Click Upload
  3. Choose file containing characters above a-z0-9 in name (even spaces) and upload it
  4. Transliteration renames the file but IMCE doesn't update the file name in directory listing (it shows original file name)
  5. Refresh IMCE window (F5) to update the files list

IMCE 7.x-1.9
Transliteration 7.x-3.2

I can't reproduce this with latest version of IMCE and transliteration
