I am using fresh dev install and see that site and group activity streams do not include new users on site or new members in group.

I suggest that

  • Activity stream for site optionally includes new registered users
  • Activity stream for group optionally includes new approved members

The closest thing I see to this functionality now is "Who's New"; but

  • That list only shows newly registered users on site, not newly joined members of groups, and
  • That list is not integrated into the existing activity stream
