Bringing some of the most recognized entertainment brands (Batman, Supeman) to Drupal is a big win for both sides. DC is looking to push the envelope in terms of the cataloging of their data and enabling community ownership and collaboration. Drupal will help DC with it's flexible extensible system and robust permissions allowing fans to participate and interact with some of their favorite characters.

DC Comics won a 2013 Blue Drop Award for Best B2C Website Built With Drupal.

Why Drupal was chosen:

The goal of this version of the DC Comics website was to create a more easily managed website that can be extended to be responsive as well as serve as a larger repo for all DC Comic data. These future phases are in the works and shouldbe coming later in 2013.
