Just noting that it seems that there aren't any tests that work against the rules integration to prove it works as its supposed to. I figured from previous posts about rules integration, that this will be a "Community Provided" piece of functionality.

The main reason for a need for this is to prove that patches don't break stuff.

This is a very good idea. Though as you say, anything to do with Rules is going to have to come from the community, as it's not something I use.
