Trying to get property of non-object in ctools token content type admin title Message

After enabling the Commons User Profile Pages module and going to the profile page I get this error/warning message:

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in ctools_token_content_type_admin_title() (line 114 of...../ctools/plugins/content_types/token/token.inc).

I've searched around already only to read how "this is not a ctools issue" and there are other post trying to figure it our but no solution. So basically, I need to know the following:

Why am I getting this error?

If this is not a "Tokens module" issue, then where is the problem located?
