There are a wide variety of users with offensive language in their names. Some of these are blatant spam, some of these are simply disgusting (like 'wife forced to f*ck'.) I'm unsure of policy on this, but it seems to me these users should probably be blocked.

It is sightly possible I suppose that one of the users in the first search might actually have these letters as part of their real name (I encountered this in other related searches.) The others seem less likely.

Would be nice to bulk block these rather than going through them all by hand.

Wow. Those are....impressive. +1 for blocking, or at least sending out a note warning them that their account will be blocked unless they change their username.

Many of these may already be blocked. As an admin, I also get these displayed and it is not possible to distinguish blocked from non-blocked users.

Oh interesting, I hadn't realized that. I just spot-checked them and while a few are blocked, most are not. I do think it's worth sorting out.

Maybe user_search should be configured/updated to exclude users who do not have the "not a spammer" role?

We would need a way for admins to find those people, of course.

I'd prefer a visual indicator to let me know who is already blocked.

I have blocked some of the users taken from those lists.

If the page listing all the registered users would allows to filter by name, the administer users page could be used. There is a module that changes it in a view; it would help to filter out by status and by name.
