Every time I try to edit / view nodes with taxonomy terms I get a Error 500, but only if I am the admin user.
When i log in as another user it works.
There is no term assigned to the nodes

tinker CreditAttribution: tinker commented@bahuma20, the 500 server error could mean anything. If you want help tracking down the problem you will have to provide more detailed information. Start by making sure that PHP errors are logged to a file. Go through the process that causes the error. Check the PHP error file for possible causes.
