Many web services are seeking to use meta tags as some sort of validation/ verification - IE Google Analytics and others.

Cloudflare proxy service is requesting I add a meta tag to verify my SSL and for it to work behind their proxy.

Unique tag for hancockglen.com

Once we have verified the SSL, CloudFlare performance and security benefits will automatically be enabled for the subdomains that you chose during the sign up process

I looked through the readme and looked at the metatag.api but found nothing I could figure out.

It would be great to be able to use the Meta Tag module for site verification since there's so much overlap in functionality. Is there a reason you don't want to add this "custom metatag" functionality to this module? If the code were contributed would you add it?
