Myself and my team have an interest in this module and would like to restart development. As an initial start we are providing a patch for the 6.x-1.x branch which will get the code in sync with the 6.x-1.3 tag (have no idea how these got out of sync in the repo) and fixes all whitespace issues.

Further initial development would be to cleanup the few issues in the issue queue and fix/add anything that is in those issues. Next we would like to make the custom JS initialization code into it's own field and output it in hook_footer() rather than inline with the comment code. Lastly we would like to port these fixes/changes to the 7.x-1.x branch.

Please view my profile and our Drupal Organization page (linked in my profile under Current company) for our qualifications.

Best!

Hi Nicholas.

Do you have any affiliation with Livefyre? Just curious.

Aaron,

I do not, should I be in contact with them for any reason, or is there something else I don't know about. Contact me through e-mail if you need to discuss more discreetly.

Best.

Aaron, do you need further details on this or our plans?

We've been hired by Livefyre to extend their own Drupal 7 module they had for their enterprise customers. It would be awesome if we could contribute this under the Livefyre Drupal project. Initially this could be maybe as a separate version of the module (e.g. for enterprise customers).

Things included in the new module are:
-views integration
-Livefyre comments are now a field, and can be added to fieldable entities
-comment counts
-caching of comments
-synchronize comments from Livefyre back to Drupal
-sitewide comments block

My colleagues Kalman Hosszu https://drupal.org/user/267481 and Attila Cs. Nagy https://drupal.org/user/636202 have been working on the implementation so if you can add them as co-maintainers they can commit the work they've done.

kvantomme, I don't believe you are going to obtain a response in this issue that I posted back in may. Either way, you should should open your own issue and also follow the procedures for dealing with abandoned projects.

I will not follow-up further on my own maintainer status if you guys are getting paid to work on it. But if you need a subcontractor feel free to get in touch.

Hi all.

It's not abandoned! Promise.

Besides the fact that work and just life in general were taking up much of my time, my other reason for the 'dragging of the feet' (as it were) in regards to co-maintainership was simply for the fact that I have received a few emails from the Livefyre folk themselves in regards to this module's maintenance.

And I figure that since it's their product then it should probably be them who gets the "privilege" (ahem) of co-maintaining said module.

So, kvantomme, your wish is my command!

May you have a beautiful day.

-Aaron
