I did not see Gravatar support on the roadmap, but I think this would be a nice feature.

There are two options for this

  1. use the Gravatar module,
  2. use native Gravatar API

Using the native Gravatar API might be simpler and cleaner. I'd like to contribute some code to this effort on the 6.x branch.

Any thoughts?
