Infinite loop when the autocomplete in exposed filters doesn't actually autocompletes [#1964754]

Incompatible with exposed filters,

while it is working as expected on other themes with regular submit forms, when using it on pages/forms with exposed filters the throber is looping for infinity...

Any ideas?

I can't reproduce. Granted I mostly tested with Drupal 8 and .form-submit.

Could you please give more details and/or a step-by-step to reproduce?

I have definitely the same problem on drupal7, views 7.x - 3.16

I finally managed to reproduce, but it's tricky. This happens when the exposed filter's autocomplete doesn't actually...complete. Else, it works as expected. See GIF attached.

Interestingly, this doesn't happen on D8.

Similar issue (Drupal 7 + Webform) when using a webform, and user does not for example enter email using valid pattern. Spin starts but no way to get back to enter data correctly. I am guessing it should not execute if webform brings back validation error.
